Avaz Alakbarov and Tom Adams, the co-chairmen of the Azerbaijani-U.S.
Interstate Working Groups, also Finance Ministers held meeting on cooperation and assistance to economic reforms, transition to market economy at the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry on Thursday. The sides discussed bilateral cooperation, particularly, macro-economic state of the country, inflation, improvement of legislative basis, autoimmunization and reconstruction of the state treasure at the expense of the United States, implementation of the project on public investments, organization issues on next meeting of working groups.
The Ministry also noted that they made a decision on holding of next meeting of the interstate working group of the United States and Azerbaijan in Washington in November 2005.
Rino Harnish, the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and representatives of other official embassies also participated in the meeting.
