Azeri Ministry of Transport is currently working out the program of development of cargo truck transport in the republic, deputy minister of transport Musa Panakhov told Trend. This program, he said, is necessary for general development of cargo truck transportations in the republic.
There are many private-owned companies in Azerbaijan today that operate in transportation sphere and may issue funds in this sphere, thus eliminating financial problem.
The Ministry of Transport shall work out such a system to enable private carriers operate and organize their activities more effectively, Panakhov said.
Panakhov said also quotas European conference of transport ministers sets for transportations to European countries are used quite insufficiently. The reason for that is that Azeri carriers lack vehicles meeting European standards.
