Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 February /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / State Oil Company of Azerbaijan's daughter company, SOCAR Georgia, commenced devising a feasibility study for the project to construct a big base to maintain oil products in Tbilisi, a source said in Company on 28 February.
The Company intends to construct the base this year. The cost of the project is approximately $6mln. Last year the Company acquired five ha of land for $3mln to construct the base. The reservoirs of the base will be capable to keep nearly 17,000 tons of oil products, including liquid gas which will be sold in the Georgian market.
The oil base will be constructed in Kiziki street near Tbilisi International Airport.
Various types of petrol, kerosene, bitumen, liquid gas and mazut will be kept in the base.
