Shell's investments in Kazakh projects hit $3 billion, Shell Georgian Office General Director Campbell Keir said.

"Shell's investments in Kazakh projects over the past 17 years reached $3 billion. In 2008, Shell invested $7.2 million in the social sector. We plan to invest $900 million in 2010," Keir said.

Kazakhstan is an attractive country for foreign investments, he added.

"Our corporative strategy is to 'explore and produce more and efficient processing.' Major investments will be made in Caspian projects, including Kashgan and Jemcujina," Keir said.
