World oil production decreased by 1.291 million barrels per day to 86.113 million barrels per day in the second quarter of 2011 compared to 87.404 million barrels per day in the first quarter of the year. These figures are contained in the EIA's (Energy Information Administration) International Energy Statistics.
In the second quarter of 2010 world oil production amounted to 86.1 million barrels a day.
According to EIA's statistics, world oil production increased by 0.304 million to 86.838 million barrels per day in July 2011 compared to 86.534 million barrel per day in June of this year.
Oil production in Middle East amounted to 26.635 million barrels per day in the second quarter of 2011 compared to 26.289 million barrels per day in the first quarter.
