BP chief executive officer Robert Dudley arrived in Azerbaijan and held the talks with SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev, SOCAR told Trend today.
During the meeting, Abdullayev approves the productive activity of the subcommittee established by the decision of the Steering Committee developing the block of oil and gas fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" to conduct effective actions and prepare the plans on short-and long-term development of the block.
Abdullayev also stressed that the actions carried out jointly by SOCAR, BP and other project participants create confidence in achieving stable development in the shortest possible period.
During the meeting, Dudley also appreciated the work carried out over the past three months within the stabilization in production volumes at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and thanked the Azerbaijani side for the assistance and support.
The company participates in large energy projects in Azerbaijan. In particular, the company is the operator of "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" block development project, as well as the technical operator of the "Shah Deniz" development project. The company is also involved in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the South Caucasus gas pipeline.
