SOCAR announces recoverable gas reserves of major fields and potentıal structures of Azerbaijan

Recoverable reserves of five potential Azerbaijani marine structures and blocks totaled 2.2 trillion cubic meters of gas and 315 million tons of condensate. This information was posted on the booth of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), which was presented at the Caspian Oil and Gas 2013 exhibition in Baku.

Four hundred billion cubic meters of gas and 80 million tons of condensate could be produced at the "Babak" structure, 300 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tons of condensate are under the "Nakhchivan" structure, 300 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tons of condensate are at the "Zafar-Mashal" block, 700 billion cubic meters of gas and 90 million tons of condensate are at the "Araz-Alov-Sharq" block, as well as 500 billion cubic meters of gas and 65 million tons of condensate at the promising "Shafaq-Asiman" block.

According to 1991-2012 data, recoverable reserves exceed 1.96 trillion cubic meters of gas and 810 million tons of condensate.

In particular, 1.2 trillion cubic meters and 240 million tons of condensate are in the field "Shah Deniz" field, 350 billion cubic meters of gas and 45 million tons of condensate are in the "Absheron" field, 175 billion cubic meters of gas and 450 million tons of oil are in the "Azeri- Chirag-Guneshli" field, 200 billion cubic meters of gas and 40 million tons of condensate are in "Umid" field, 20 billion cubic meters and 15 million tons of condensate are in "Ashrafi" field and 20 billion cubic meters of gas and 20 million tons of condensate are in the "Karabakh" field.
