Some 751.5 million manats (1.7352 AZN/USD on Feb. 20) were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector in January 2017, as compared to 675.5 million manats in January 2016 (increase by 11.25 percent), according to a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.
Total volume of investments in Azerbaijan’s industrial sector amounted to 783.9 million manats in January 2017 that is by 2.2 percent more than in January 2016.
Some 748.6 million manats out of this amount were invested in the country’s mining industry in January 2017 that is by one percent less than in January 2016.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat amounted to 10.9 million manats in January 2017 that is by 27.8 percent more than in January 2016.
