The construction of a Saryarka pipeline goes according to the plan and will be finished in October 2019, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
The information was disclosed during the visit of Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Akhmetzhan Yessimov to the 820th kilometer of the pipeline.
During the visit, Yessimov has positively assessed the construction and noted the importance to finish the construction and start commissioning work in time.
“Currently, the construction is 75 percent finished and has reached Akmola and Karaganda region. Following the end of the construction, National Company KazMunaiGas and regional akimats (administrative centers) will start supplying gas to settlements, including the capital,” said Director General of AstanaGas KMG JSC Sagidulla Makashev.
The pipeline is designed to supply gas to Kazakhstan’s capital, central and north regions. Samruk-Kazyna is participating in the funding of the project, KazStroyService JSC is the contractor of the projects and Astana Gas is the operator.
The pipeline starts from Beyneu-Bozoy-Shymkent pipeline. The main construction work is to be finished by the end of 2019 and the commissioning is planned for 2020. The pipeline with the length of 1,061 kilometers will provide 171 settlements with gas.
