Azerbaijan exported 916.6 million cubic meters of gas to Turkey in April 2020, which is 26.44 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, Trend reports citing a report of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
In general, Azerbaijan's share in the structure of Turkish gas import in April 2020 amounted to 34.80 percent compared to 20.42 percent in April 2019.
According to EPDK, the total volume of natural gas import to Turkey in April 2020 exceeded 2.6 billion cubic meters, decreasing by 25.81 percent compared to more than 3.5 billion cubic meters in April 2019.
Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Gas Pipeline. In accordance with the contract, Turkey annually buys from Azerbaijan 6.6 billion cubic meters of gas produced at the Shah Deniz field.
