In October 2020, the import of aviation fuel from Turkey to Georgia amounted to 949,050 kg worth $521,821, the Union of Oil Product Importers of Georgia told Trend.
"During the same period, the import of aviation fuel from Turkmenistan to Georgia amounted to 3.43 million kg worth $1.33 million," the union said.
According to the source, in October 2020, imports of petroleum bitumen to Georgia from Azerbaijan equaled to 11.53 million kg in the amount of $3.11 million, from Iraq - 2.92 million kg in the amount of $935,486.33, from Turkey - 162,200 kg in the amount of $51,944.55.
"At the same time, the pandemic also had a direct impact on the sales of oil products in Georgia. Among them, the greatest damage was caused to the import of aviation fuel, as well as the import of petroleum bitumen," the source said.
The union also noted that sales of gasoline and diesel fuel decreased compared to the same period last year.
