Kyrgyz import of petrochemicals from Kazakhstan declines

Kyrgyzstan’s import of Kazakh petrochemicals from January through July 2021 has declined, Trend reports citing the Kyrgyz National Statistical Committee.

According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to 17,800 tons, which is 77.3 percent less than (78,300 tons) in the first seven months of 2020.

Besides, from January through July of this year imports of the mentioned products in value terms amounted to $9.3 million, down 55.3 percent compared to the same period of last year ($20.8 million).

In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan imported 13.7 million liters of gasoline worth $3.5 million from Kazakhstan. In volume terms, gasoline imports decreased by 82.5 percent, and in value - by 76.8 percent on annual basis.
