The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) sold 35,000 tons of mazut at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2021), said the official IRENEX report obtained by Trend.
According to the statistics, this volume of mazut was sold on the international floor of the IRENEX within the second month.
The value of the NIOC’s products sold at the energy exchange amounted to 2.56 trillion rials (about $9.34 million).
A total of 71.2 trillion rials (about $260 million) worth of products were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.
The products at Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) are sold under the SANA exchange rate. The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange offices, where the price of 1 euro is currently 307,427 rials, and the price of $1 is 274,615 rials.
Reportedly, the National Iranian Oil Company extracts and exports oil, gas and gas condensate in the country. However, due to the lack of customers for crude oil, gas and gas condensate at the IRENEX, it sells the products outside the exchange.
