BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) launched new gas condensate demercaptanization plant in Bushehr Province (southern Iran), on August 29, Trend reports citing the POGC’s website.

Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji, Deputy Oil Minister and the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr and other officials attended the event dedicated in this regard.

According to the report, the plant has the capacity to demercaptanize 80,000 barrels of gas condensate per day. A total of 74 million euro and 2.61 trillion rials (about $62.1 million) has been spent on the construction and launch of the mentioned plant.

The estimations are that the POGC’s annual revenues from the mentioned plant should be more than $110 million.

Some 174 people were provided with jobs at the plant.
