Batumi Oil Terminal Delivered Over 7.5m Tons of Oil Cargo in Jan-Jul

In January to July 2006 the Batumi terminal delivered a total of 7.5 million tons of oil cargo against 5.2 million tons in 2005 sources of the Port told Trend.

In July the delivery made up 1.06 million tons against 867,500 tons in June 2005 and 909,000 million tons in July 2006.

In July the port shipped 677,400 tons of oil, 404,900 tons of gasoline, 187,700 tons of mazut, 124,700 of diesel fuel.

The Batumi oil terminal is capable of handling up to 15 million tons of bulk oil cargo a year. The terminal services tankers of 30,000-90,000 tons deadweight on four berths including a special buoy for the vessels of the Aframax class. At the moment the terminals tank loading capacity is about 530,000 tons, which is more than enough for the handling of current and forecasted cargoes.
