5.4-5.6 bln. cubic meters of gas are expected to be produced from Azerbaijan gas condensate field Shahdaniz in 2007. According to the signed contract, 270 mln. cubic meters of gas will be sent to Georgia. 2.48 bln. cubic meters is Azerbaijan share, and 2.85 bln. cubic meters is Turkish share, said Natig Aliyev, Azerbaijan Industry and Energy Minister, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan will receive gas from the field at the price of $58 per 1,000 cubic meters, he said.

Turkey share in the project for the next year reaches 3 bln. cubic meters. Presently, negotiations are being held to redistribute a part of the Turkish share. It is a must to help Georgia at the expense of Turkish gas. Plus Turkey will get it back in the future, said Mr. Aliyev.

In 2007, the Country is expected to receive 2.48 bln. cubic meters of gas from Shahdaniz field. 1.4 bln. cubic meters of associated gas from ACG (Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli), that is a guaranteed gratuitous volume. However, we shall do our best to increase it up to 3 bln. cubic meters, said the Azerbaijan Minister.

The BP Programme envisages boosting the gas to sustain the pressure up to 4 bln. cubic meters of gas.

We are negotiating on the delay on boosting the gas in order to carry it out in the future and hand over the free gas to the country, he said.
