The total volume of securities transactions at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) increased by 49 percent in the first 8 months of 2021, compared to the first 8 months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to the BSE report.
According to the BSE report, from January through August of this year, the volume of transactions in securities approached 10.7 billion manat ($6.29 billion).
In the reporting period, an increase of 22 percent in the primary capital market, 26 percent in the government securities market, and 3.2 times in repo transactions, were recorded over the specifying period.
The capitalization of the BSE as of the last trading day in August 2021 amounted to 4.31 billion manat ($2.54 billion), having increased by 11 percent since the beginning of the year.
