Azerbaijan participates in the 5th jubilee conference and 4th exhibition Caspian Telecoms 2006 organized for Turkey, the CS countries, the Caspian and Black Sea regions. Attending the event, started in Istanbul on 13 April, from Azerbaijan are Ilham Mardanov, the head of the Strategic Planning and Scientific Potential Department of the Communications and Information Technologies Ministry, Mahammad Mahammadov, the Director General of Aztelekom PA, Jabbar Musayev, the chief consultant of the Department for International Relations and Work with Non-governmental Organizations, and Jalil Jafarov, the Director General of the International Relations and Calculation Center of the Ministry, the press service of the Ministry told Trend.
The Caspian Telecoms 2006 is expected to bring together the delegations from Turkey, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Iran, Rumania, Greece, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Moldova, etc. Besides, the representatives of ITU, EU , WB, EBRD, UNDP and OPIC also plan to participate in the event.
Besides, within the event the organizers will hold a workshop on satellite, wideband, wireless communication, mobile communication means for the CIS countries and the Caspian region, including, roundtables within the conference. The expositions of the exhibition Caspian Telecoms 2006 will be presented on 21 divisions, including, GSM operators, satellite TV set, software on IT industry, international investment banks, internet providers.
The Caspian Telecoms 2006 is organized under the support of the Turkish Transport and Communications, Turksih telecommunications Administration and Turk Telekom.
The representatives of the Azerbaijani Communications Ministry will also participate in the Azerbaijani-Turkish business forum to be held in Istanbul on Tuesday under organization of the Association of Azerbaijani-Turkish Businessmen (ATIB), the Department for Development of Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Economic Development, AzPromo, Istanbul Trade Chamber and Istanbul Industry Chamber. Attending the event from Azerbaijan will be 50-person delegation, including, the representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Industry and Energy, Taxes Ministry, Communications and Information Technologies Ministry and AATB, from Turkey - 100 entrepreneurs.
The organizers of the forum will held a presentation of the investment climate of Azerbaijan, give information on the measures in the financial sector, tourism, construction, information technologies, health, and agriculture. Bilateral meetings will be organized between entrepreneurs of the countries within the forum.
