Uzbekistan from January through May 2021 exported to Azerbaijan cars worth $444,700, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, Uzbekistan’s 5M2021 cars export amounted to $134.9 million. It is noted that the volume of car exports increased by $84.6 million compared to the same period in 2021.
Thus, the volume of export of passenger cars to Kazakhstan amounted to $127.1 million. Afghanistan took the second place in terms of the volume of export of passenger cars with an indicator of $2.7 million.
At the same time, Uzbekistan supplied cars worth $2.3 million to Ukraine, $1 million - to Kyrgyzstan, $955,900 - to Russia, $444,700 - to Azerbaijan and $339,100 - to Tajikistan.
The committee noted that in May 2021 cars worth $22.5 million were exported from Uzbekistan.
Earlier the committee reported that 205 electric vehicles were imported to Uzbekistan from abroad from January through May 2021.
In particular, during the first five months of 2021, electric cars were imported to Uzbekistan mainly from China - 166 cars. Turkey is second in the list of main electric car suppliers to Uzbekistan with - 24 electric vehicles. It is followed by South Korea and the US, who exported five electric cars each.
It is reported that compared to last year, Germany and Spain have appeared among the new exporting countries. Thus, Uzbekistan imported three electric cars from Germany, and one car each was imported from Lithuania and Spain.
