Iranian Airlines to begin operating at full capacity

Iranian Airlines will start booking flights to full capacity from November 21, but airlines are still obliged to limit capacity to 60 percent, Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development of Iran said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to the decree of the National Committee on Combating Coronavirus, Iranian Airlines will start booking flights to full capacity by November 21, ending all efforts to promote social distancing on planes, Shahram AdamNejad said.

Considering the high vaccination rate, the Committee decided to lift the Covid-19 related restrictions of the transportation sector.

Passengers will need to show their vaccination status, and the airlines will need to match the name and date of birth to confirm, by November 21, the Deputy Minister said.

Adamnejad also explained the road and rail passengers’ limitations.

Social distancing measures that have cut effective capacity by approximately 80 percent on rail cars and buses, will also Be lifted by November 21, Adamnejad announced.
