Kazakhstan reports increase in cargo transport by air

Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 14.4 billion tenge ($33.4 million) from January through October 2021, which is 46.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in October 2021 amounted to 1.3 billion tenge ($3.07 million), which is 3.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 27,840 tons, which is 58.8 percent more compared to the same period of last year (2,800 tons in October 2021, increase by 36.1 percent year-on-year).

Cargo turnover amounted to 62.04 million ton-kilometers which is 45.2 percent more than during the same period of last year (6.4 million in October 2021, an increase of 79.7 percent).

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 285.8 billion tenge ($661.6 million) from January through October 2021, which is 80.8 percent more than during the same period of last year. October revenue from passenger transportation was 33.2 billion tenge ($78.08 million), which is 74.4 percent more than in October 2020.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 7.7 million people, which is 76 percent more than during the same period of last year (884,060 passengers in October 2021, up by 42.2 percent).

The passenger turnover amounted to 12.2 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 80.1 percent. The October passenger turnover was 1.3 billion (50.3 percent more year-on-year).
