Capital investments in dev't of agriculture in Kazakhstan increase

The volume of capital investments in the development of agriculture, forestry and fisheries of Kazakhstan amounted to 175.7 billion tenge in the first eight months of this year, which exceeds by 8.2 percent the indicators for the same period last year, Energyprom wrote Sept. 24.

The North Kazakhstan region has accounted for 25.7 percent, Kostanay region — for 13.9 percent and Akmola region — for 11.2 percent of all investments.

Last year, just these regions provided 72 percent of the total gross harvest of grain and legumes, and as much as over 80 percent of wheat itself, the message says.

In the first half of this year, the gross added value of agriculture in Kazakhstan has amounted to 557.3 billion tenge, which is 6.7 percent more than in the same period last year.

The official exchange rate on September 24 is 352.54 KZT / USD.
