BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21.The production of diesel fuel in Kazakhstan from January through October 2022 amounted to 4.6 million tons, which is an increase of 9.7 percent year-on-year, Trend reports, citing the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, as of the latest data, from January through August of 2022, local companies met the demand for diesel fuel in the domestic market and export by 99.3 percent, compared to 97.3 percent over the same period of 2021. Sales in the domestic market amounted to 3.6 million tons - 10.5-percent increase year-on-year.
Imports and exports of diesel fuel were rather insignificant: only 23,000 tons (3.9 times less than a year earlier), and 60,500 tons (3.4 times less), respectively.
As of October this year, diesel fuel prices increased by 12.5 percent over the year. At the same time, summer diesel fuel price fell by 1.3 percent. Winter fuel price, on the contrary, increased by 30.7 percent.
