ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 13. The Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan has developed a bill aimed at creating an export credit agency, said Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Kayrat Torebayev at a meeting of the lower house of parliament, Trend reports.
As he noted, bill aims to create a special legal status for an export credit agency (ECA). This will combine the main measures of financial support and development of non-resource exports in the hands of the ECA.
According to him, Ministry analyzed the international experience of export credit agencies in Russia, Hungary, Australia and India. As a result of this, Kazakhstan expects an increase in the volume of non-resource exports of goods and services to $41 billion by 2025.
"As a result, we expect that this will make a significant contribution to the development of the country’s economy as a whole, expanding the geography of exports, international cooperation, replenishing the republican budget through the sale of products and paying taxes, and the creation of new jobs by exporters supported by the ECA," he said.
In this regard, it is proposed to amend 11 legislative acts.
