ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 30. The total turnover of agricultural products in Kazakhstan amounted to $11.3 billion (26.5 million tons) in 2023, which decreased slightly compared to 2022 - $11.5 billion (23.4 million tons), Trend reports.
The export volume amounted to $5.35 billion (15 million tons), which is 5 percent lower year-on-year ($5.59 billion or 13.1 million tons).
At the same time, the share of exports of agricultural products in the total volume of exports of all goods of Kazakhstan ($78.6 billion) is about 7 percent, while the share of agricultural GDP in the total volume of GDP (120.6 trillion tenge or $254.7 billion) is 4.3 percent or 5.2 trillion tenge (about $11 billion).
Thus, the largest importer of agricultural products from Kazakhstan in 2023 was Uzbekistan - $1.51 billion.
