ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 6. The top priority for the Kazakh government is finding new sources of economic growth, said President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev while speaking to the media about the current government’s performance, Trend reports.
“In my view, the government is working actively, putting in effort, and tackling the tasks I’ve set as head of state. We have a very demanding workload that might not always be visible to the media.
I stay well-informed, read a lot, and follow all developments closely. Of course, I point out the shortcomings in the work of both ministers and the government. But seven months isn’t a long time. The government officials need to prove themselves. The key priority is finding new sources of economic growth for our country,” he stressed.
On October 6, Kazakhstan began voting in the nuclear power plant referendum.
