The US Embassy calls on the Kyrgyzstan authorities for fair treatment of all citizens. The American diplomatic mission has made such statement on Wednesday, news agency "24.kg" reported.
"The US Embassy is continuing to monitor developments in the wake of June's violence, including treatment of community leaders, human rights activists and journalists documenting the situation", the statement reads. "The US Embassy in Bishkek calls for an objective and thorough investigation with international participation into the violent unrest which occurred in the southern districts of Osh and Jalal-Abad. The US Embassy also encourages the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic to take measures that ensure fair treatment of all its citizens regardless of ethnic background and to support a process of reconciliation".
