Kyrgyz president for transition period Roza Otunbayeva stated that no political force wants to bar presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, 24kg news agency reported.

"An active phase of the election race has begun. A special attention is paid on issues of ensuring public security and order; the Government has held several staff conferences on these issues," Otunbayeva told journalists.

"Last year, we held a referendum and parliamentary elections in the complicated conditions. It should be noted that there is no political forces who want to bar elections. We are speaking only about political competition in the name of victory on elections. The country's leadership will done everything to ensure calm and stable environment for holding elections," she emphasized.

The October 30 elections will be the first elections after the change of power in April 2010.
