BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. The growing investment in construction of industrial facilities is visible in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Bakytbek Shokenov said, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.
According to him, 86 percent of investments were directed for construction of mining facilities, manufacturing enterprises, objects that supply electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, buildings of public administration and defense, education, healthcare, as well as construction of houses.
According to the committee, the volume of investments in fixed capital increased due to the growth of external sources by 15.7 percent in January 2023, compared to the same month of 2022.
At the same time, the volume of internal sources decreased by 2.6 percent.
According to the official information, 7,934 of houses were built in Kyrgyzstan from January through November 2022. The main share of houses (1,983) built in the reporting period falls on Osh region in southwestern Kyrgyzstan. The second place took Jalal-Abad region (1,653 houses) in central-western Kyrgyzstan, followed by Chui region (1,447) in the north of the country.
