BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 13. Kyrgyzstan and Russia have signed a memorandum to establish a joint industrial park within Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce told Trend.
The memorandum was signed during the Kyrgyz-Russian Forum held in the Issyk-Kul region. It formalizes cooperation between Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the Russian Technopolis Himgrad industrial complex.
The goal of the memorandum is to facilitate the creation and development of a Kyrgyz-Russian industrial and technology park within Kyrgyzstan, aimed at localizing production. Key objectives under the agreement include:
- Developing a unified approach and common principles for establishing the joint industrial park.
- Identifying key industrial sectors as priorities for the park's activities in Kyrgyzstan.
- Selecting a site for the park.
- Addressing investment attraction for the park’s development.
- Finding and recruiting residents for the park.
- Overseeing the design and construction of park facilities.
- Managing the park's operations.
Additionally, Himgrad will help the Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy by sharing its knowledge and experience in setting up and running industrial and technology parks from Russia and other countries.
