BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 7. Tajikistan increased imports of petroleum products from January through October 2022, Trend reports with reference to asiaplustj.info.
According to statistics, Tajikistan in the first 10 months of this year imported 645,000 tons of petroleum products in, which is an increase of 30.1 percent over the same period in 2021.
During the reporting period, the value of Tajik petroleum product imports also increased by 80 percent year-on-year. About 90 percent of these products are supplied from Russia on a preferential basis (without paying export customs duties).
Meanwhile, in late November Tajikistan's Ministry of Energy and Water Resources announced that in accordance with the document on indicative balances of supplies of petroleum products for 2023, the country will increase imports of petroleum products from Russia in 2023.
