BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. The Spanish Ibertest company has proposed to the Turkmendemiryollary Agency (Turkmenistan Railway) to create a national laboratory for testing railways, which in the future will help to create a network of high-speed railways in Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.
The proposal was made during the meeting of the parties at the international exhibition of transport technologies InnoTrans 2022 in Berlin with the assistance of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Germany.
The test center will be used to improve, verify and test the main components used in railway networks. The creation of the laboratory will also be an investment in training a new generation of engineers for the future development of Turkmenistan's railways.
At the same time, the new center will be able to provide services to nearby countries that do not have the necessary equipment for testing railways.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the modernization of the railway infrastructure to increase the transit and transport capabilities of the country and further increase the volume of cargo transportation by rail.
