The volume of grapes exported from Uzbekistan from January through September in physical terms amounted to 86,500 tons, which is 8,900 tons more over the same period last year, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee.
Exports of grapes in value terms amounted to $84.6 million.
Currently, Uzbekistan is supplying grapes to 15 countries.
Russia with 39,100 tons of grapes, Kazakhstan – 34,300 tons, Kyrgyzstan – 12,300 tons, and Belarus – 317,100 tons are the main importers of this product.
The largest volume of grapes exported from Uzbekistan falls in Tashkent, Fergana, and Namangan regions.
The largest share of fruit and vegetable products exported from Uzbekistan from January through September fell on cherries and grapes.
A total of $188.3 million cherries and $118.6 million grapes were exported from Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable products for 9M2020.
The volume of exports of fruits and vegetables exported from Uzbekistan for nine months in physical terms amounted to 1,088,700 tons. The decline rates compared to the same period in 2019 amounted to 27.4 percent.
In value terms, the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables exported from Uzbekistan for the same reported period exceeded $696.1 million.
