Uzbekistan adopts new dev't program for 2022-2024

Uzbekistan has adopted a program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure for 2022-2024, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Justice.

As part of the program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure, 76.8 trillion soums ($7 billion) will be allocated.

During these years, it is planned to put into operation the following social and production facilities:

- higher education institutions for 54,230 study places and 8,358 places for living;

- general education, creative and specialized schools with 259,101 study places and 248 sports halls;

- preschool educational organizations for 88,310 places;

- medical institutions for 24,213 places.

In addition, in accordance with the document, a state commission for the development of social and industrial infrastructure will be created. This commission will coordinate the activities of ministries, departments, economic associations, and local municipalities participating in the program.
