Five prisoners convicted of murder, including a woman, were hanged in Tehran, the governmental daily Iran reported Thursday.
The five were hanged on Wednesday in the Evin prison in northern Tehran after their death sentence had been confirmed by the Supreme Court, reported dpa.
The woman had reportedly killed her husband who wanted to leave her for a younger woman.
