Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast says Tehran and Moscow share common viewpoints on the legal regime of the Caspian Sea, Press TV reported.
In a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister for the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov in Moscow on Wednesday, Mehmanparast called on other littoral states to double their efforts for the formulation of the Sea's legal regime.
Reflecting on the Middle East developments, Mehmanparast said regional states shouldered an important responsibility to restore stability and security in the region through consultation.
The Russian deputy foreign minister, for his part, called for more media cooperation between the two countries.
He added that negotiation was the best means of restoring stability and security in the Middle East.
Mehmanparast arrived in Moscow on October 9 at the head of a delegation of media officials to discuss bilateral media interaction.
