A senior military aide to the Iranian Supreme Leader warned the US and Israel to retreat from their warmongering stances against Iran, saying that if enemies dare to attack the Islamic Republic, the war would not be confined to the Iranian territories and Iran would fight back against the enemy on any point on earth that it wants, Fars News reported.
"In case of any security and military action against Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the powerful Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, will decide and arrange the geographical location of the battleground," Supreme Leader's top advisor for military affairs Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Sunday.
He warned enemies of Iran's "crushing" response to any aggression against the country, and said, "The enemies should know that any military threat against Iran will be faced with the incredible military operations of the Islamic Republic's powerful Armed Force."
The US and Israel have recently augmented their warmongering remarks against Iran with Israeli leader Shimon Peres saying on November 4 that an attack on Iran was becoming "increasingly more likely".
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Israel's parliament (Knesset) on October 31 in an effort to garner support for a military attack on Iran over its nuclear program.
In reply senior Iranian officials described the threats as "foolish" remarks, and warned that friends and allies of the Islamic Revolution would destroy Israel before it can make the slightest military move against Iran.
Iranian officials warned that Israel will find itself in war with Iran in Tel Aviv streets if it dares to attack the Islamic Republic.
"Israel is not in the size to launch a military strike on Iran, but if it takes such a foolish action, the Iranian militaries will fight with the Israeli soldiers in Tel Aviv streets and will force them out of the Palestinian soil," member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi told FNA earlier this month.
Meantime, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said last Thursday Iran would respond to any military strike by Israel or the United States with "iron fists."
