Iran’s gas usage in housing sector stood at about 164 mcm/d in the first half of the current fiscal year (started on March 21). However, the figure always rises up during the fall and triples during winter.
The figure for Nov.25 reached the highest level ever, leading to gas outage in Mazandaran province as well as in several industrial sectors.
Iran produced 520 mcm/d of sweet gas last fiscal year and plans to increase this volume by 100 mcm/d by March 2017.
