Iran discloses number of export licenses issued in Gilan province

The number of export licenses issued by the General Directorate of Standardization of Iran’s Gilan province increased by 60 percent during nine months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Director of the General Directorate of Standardization of Gilan Province Dariush Ashkanipour said.

The General Directorate of Standardization of the province issued 688 licenses for the export of products over the past nine months, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

Over the past nine months, 111,155.57 million tons of products worth 86.2 billion rials (about $2 million) were exported from the province within the past nine months. This figure shows a 48 percent decrease in terms of weight and a 66 percent increase in terms of value compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Such products as dates, raisin and mining materials are exported to Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The dates are exported from the port of Anzali, while dates and raisins - from Astara, Ashkanipour added.

During the reporting period, 1,024,079 tons of products were imported in the province. Among these products are animal feed, wheat, steel and so on. The products were imported from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China, he said.
