Iran to invest in construction of country's biggest greenhouse
TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.9
The plan to construct the biggest greenhouse in west of Iran in the Eslamabad-e Gharb County, worth $34 million of investment, would increase production in Kermanshah Province, said the Managing Director of Kowsar Agricultural Development Pioneers Company Omid Hosseini, Trend reports via IRNA.
"The greenhouse is being constructed by Kowsar company. There is a private sector involvement in this, and it is expected the first products would hit the market in March 2021," said Hosseini.
"The project had a 30-percent progress and the construction is ongoing, while 100 individuals are working in the research and development (R&D) sector of the project," he said.
"The process of construction is done by following health protocols during the coronavirus spread, and will be launched in the early months of the next Iranian year," he said.
"This would be the biggest modern greenhouse in west of the country that would produce vegetable, create jobs for 500 people , supply the region's needs and also export some of the products ," he said.
