A spokesman for Iran judiciary announced the registration of assets and property of more than 5,000 Iranian officials in the officials' asset registration system.
“There are more people who have to register their assets into this system, and correspondence has been made with the relevant state-owned agencies to ask the rest of Iranian officials to respect the law,” Gholam Hossein Esmaili said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
A spokesman for the judiciary said that "Some organizations welcomed this system very much. “Recently the presidium of the parliament wrote a letter asking for the Judiciary Statistics and Information Technology Center to deploy a group in parliament and register the assets of the Iranian members of Parliament.”
