According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the volume of construction work in Azerbaijan increased by 30.9 percent as of early November 2012 compared to the same period of last year. In particular, the volume of construction work carried out by state-owned companies hit 24.6 percent of the total amount of work, while private companies - 75.4 percent
Some 72.9 percent of the total volume of construction work fell to the primary construction, reconstruction and expansion, 14 percent - overhaul, 2.3 percent - current repair, 10.8 percent - other construction work.
In January-October, volume of housing commissioning in Azerbaijan fell by 11.3 percent. In October, compared to September, volume of housing commissioning in Azerbaijan increased by 7.2 percent, and compared to October 2011 - by 10.5 percent.
Some 1.067.9 million square meters of housing were commissioned in January-October 2012 compared to 1.506.9 million square meters a year earlier. A 11.3 percent -decrease was observed in these volumes.

As of November 1, 2012, the companies producing construction materials in Azerbaijan, produced goods worth 260.3 million manat, which is 18.2 percent more than the same period of 2011. According to the information, around 1.7 million tons of cement, 115,500 tons of plaster, 1,023 tons of finished concrete were produced for ten months of 2012.
Around 460,100 tons of asphalt and 203,000 cubic meters of prefabricated buildings made of concrete were produced during this period.
The stocks of construction materials worth 10.9 million manat were prepared at the warehouses of enterprises by Nov. 1, 2012 or 3.7 percent of the total volume of finished goods in the country.
