SOCAR taking part in Ukraine’s tender on diesel fuel
SOCAR Ukraine Trading House (a subsidiary of Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR) is participating in an open tender of Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) for supply of diesel fuel, a source in SOCAR told Trend Dec. 26.
According to the source, the company sent a bid for participation in open tenders, to be held on December 28.
"Ukrzaliznytsia has announced a tender for the purchase of 10,000 tons of diesel fuel to be supplied till December 31, 2018," the source said. "The estimated cost of purchases is estimated at 278.5 million hryvnia (about $10 million). Besides SOCAR, two more traders participate in the tender."
SOCAR exported 502,070 tons of diesel fuel in January-November 2017 compared to 676,170 tons for the same period of last year.
SOCAR is represented in Ukraine by its subsidiary - SOCAR Energy Ukraine. The company also owns 61 filling stations.
