Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov 20 /Trend N.Kirtzkhalia/
The Tbilisi City Court has adjourned the case of former Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili, thus allowing his defense time to prepare its case. Okruashvili arrived in Georgia and was arrested by the police on Tuesday morning.
It should be noted that prior to the trial there was a jam in front of the court, as not everyone could get into the courtroom.
The judge allowed two minutes to film the courtroom due to of the exceptional interest in this process.
Okruashvili was detained under the Criminal Code.
Okruashvili returned to Georgia on an Istanbul-Tbilisi flight early in the morning of November 20 with his uncle Iosif Giguashvili.
According to the Tbilisi City Court's March 28, 2008 decision, Okruashvili was sentenced in absentia to 11 years of imprisonment.
