Georgia’s oil imports from Iran up

Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Iran from January through November 2021 amounted to $1.4 million, which is an increase of 122.2 percent, compared to $635,220 over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The volume of the exported petroleum and petroleum oils from Iran to Georgia over the reporting period of 2021 also increased by 140.2 percent – from 1,262 tons to 3,032 tons.

Thus, Iran ranks 9 among main exporters of petroleum and petroleum oils in terms of volumes of the product over first 11 months of 2021.

Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from January through November 2021 increased by 63.6 percent, compared to $450.9 million worth of oil imports in the same period of 2020, and amounted to $737.8 million.
