Georgia's ferroalloys exports to Turkey up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. Georgia’s exports of ferroalloys to Turkey from January through February 2022 amounted to $10.7 million, which is an increase of 25.8 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($8.5 million), Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).

However, the volume of Georgia’s ferroalloys exports to Turkey in the reporting period of 2022 decreased by 27.1 percent, compared to 8.1 million tons over the same period of 2021, and totaled 5.9 million tons.

Thus, Turkey ranked third among the main ferroalloys importers from Georgia in the reporting period of 2022, following the US ($36.1 million), and Russia ($32.7 million).

Georgia’s total ferroalloys exports from January through February 2022 totaled $100.4 million, which is an increase of 92.7 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 ($52.1 million). The volume of Georgia’s ferroalloys exports in the reporting period of 2022 also increased by 8.9 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 - from 48.2 million tons to 52.5 million tons.
