The Palestinian government is ready to resume peace talks with Israel under certain conditions, a Presidential spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said on Sunday, the agency Wafa reported.
According to Abu Rudeineh, the main conditions of the Palestinian side for the start of negotiations is an immediate cessation of Israeli settlement activities and the recognition, a Palestinian state with 1967 borders by Tel Aviv.
Direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians broke off in September last year, when the Palestinians withdrew from negotiations over Israel's refusal to extend a moratorium on settlement construction on occupied Palestinian land.
