A Mexican judge on Monday ordered the arrest, for 40 days, of seven people suspected of involvement in organized crime, authorities said.
The prosecutor general's office said in a statement that the seven, suspected of crimes against public health and of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, were detained in the state of Mexico, Xinhua reported
Police seized four caliber 38 short guns, three AK-47 rifles, nine chargers for short guns, six for long guns, and ammunition.
They also seized 528 fake ephedrine pills, cell phones, radios, vehicles, documents and money.
