Singapore's Ministry of Health on Sunday reported one more flu A/H1N1 related death case, bringing the number of total A/H1N1 related fatalities here to nine, Xinhua reported.
According to a statement by the ministry, a 27-year-old Indian female with no known underlying medical conditions died on Saturday morning after her condition deteriorated. She went to the Changi General Hospital's Emergency Department on July 23 with a 4 day history of fever, cough and lethargy. The cause of her death has been certified as acute myocardial infarction, with Influenza A/H1N1 infection and pneumonia as contributing factors.
Singapore reported its first confirmed case of Influenza A/H1N1 on May 27. The country's first A/H1N1 related death case was recorded on July 18.
