The leader of France's far right National Front Marine Le Pen said Tuesday she would support neither Socialist candidate Francois Hollande nor incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy in the second round of the country's presidential election Sunday, DPA reported.
"On Sunday, I will vote blank," Le Pen told a party rally in Paris in honour of Catholic saint Joan of Arc.
Le Pen placed third in the first round of the election on April 22, making her supporters the kingmakers in the final duel.
"I love my country too much. I love you too much to take you down a path of false hope," Le Pen, said casting Sarkozy, candidate of the ruling UMP and Socialist Party (PS) candidate Hollande as two sides of the same coin.
Her supporters were free to vote according to their conscience, she said.
